# Environmental Impact

Bluelight is built on BNB chain that does not use the Proof-of-work consensus method, instead it uses a combination of Proof-of-stake and Proof-of-authority mechanisms. That means, the environmental impact of the game, its assets and backend is reduced to a minimum, and can be compared with the impact that regular mobile games and apps have.

Viewpoint Labs is taking green technologies seriously and constantly monitoring the market for environmentally friendly products and offsets carbon when possible.
